Where the forest meets the sea

The south-west of Western Australia is highly significant in the world’s biodiversity and is vulnerable to climate change. Changing rainfall patterns, rising sea levels, increasing intense weather events and marine heatwaves post a threat to natural habitats and marine life. This work and the materials from which it is made, represent the fine balance necessary to protect the environment. When cared for they remain strong and intact; when mistreated they can break beyond repair.
